(i actually read that one. dunno if it made me look any smarter then usual on the train, but its a great book.)

dinner at Eszter

All the way up to 147th street.  There lives Eszter.

In an amazing flat.

This is the fireplace IN THEIR BATHROOM.

all the wooden stuff (doors, windows, cupboards) are original.

I got kind of hammered. It was a great evening. Got to know a new word, "tüttümüttü" - i will explain that later.

And then i bought Martha.

This little cupboard/table at the flea market. The guy told me its called Martha Washington, and when he got to know that I was from Hungary, he gave me a $10 discount because he was half polish. Or his grandmothers grandma was half polish. Anyway. I was very happy. I picked it up, and started walking home. After two blocks I thought I might take a cab, but didnt see any. So long story in pics, I brought it home. There were 3 people stopping me on the way telling me how cool the cupboard was, and one old lady told me her grandma had the same. By the time I got home I felt emotionally attached to it.
